Parokhet (Ark Curtain)

The parokhet, which is much larger than our other pieces of work, is the curtain that covers the front of the Ark that holds the Torah scrolls. During the High Holidays, and until the conclusion of the holiday of Simchat Torah, we use a special parokhet that uses different colors and a special design that recalls the High Holidays.

The final finishing details for custom-made parokhet depend on how a particular Ark is built. We recommend having someone familiar with the location add the final finishing details, but if this is not possible, we will need photographs and detailed descriptions of the hanging arrangement.
